Have you ever read a Harlequin® Love Inspired® novel?
They are short novels of Christian inspiration and are the perfect size to slip
into your pocket or purse and take anywhere. The LI line includes:
contemporary, historical, suspense, and Amish. Below are my reviews for three of the books in
this line.
The Texas
Rancher's Return by Allie Pleiter is contemporary and a very sweet read. Gunner Buckton has come home to take over
the family Bison ranch, Blue Thorn. Although he has matured, he is soured by a failed
relationship where the woman used him and stomped on his heart. Brooke Calder
has slowly managed to knock off some of his distrust of women until he finds
out the company she works for, DelTex, is out to swindle him out of his land.
The question is, whose side is Brooke on. Was she just playing up to him to
help DelTex get his land? I loved the story. It was well-written and the characters well-developed. I'll read this one again.
Mail Order Mix-Up by Christine Johnson was the best historical romance novels I've read in a long time. It takes place in 1870 Singapore, Michigan. Pearl Lawson has signed a contract with the Singapore school that she cannot marry while under contract. But when she sees an advertisement in a New York newspaper for a mail-order bride she takes along her friend, Amanda, who desperately wants to marry. On board the Milwaukee, they run into Mr. Decker and they mistake him for the man looking for the bride. But this Mr. Roland Decker is not looking for a bride and he assumes his brother Garrett submitted the ad. Pearl has a crisp, take-charge attitude that Rolland likes and does appreciate her company. The story is fun, lively, and a page-turner to see who would marry and who would not by the end of the story.

Laura's books are wonderful! I highly recommend them.
